IT'S MY FIRST GIVE AWAY!!!!

This week I am going to see WICKED at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City on Thursday afternoon at 2pm. My husband got me the tickets (see this post for the story) and we were supposed to go together.

I say "supposed" to go together on Thursday, just like the remodeling of our house was "supposed" to be done by the time our son got home from his mission. (Not a "dig" just an observation!)

But the walls came tumbling down on Saturday (literally) in our kitchen. The new kitchen cabinets are in, granite countertops are in, the wall texturing has been done. NOW, we need to lay the flooring and finish the landscaping. When I say "we" I am speaking in the Queen's english here. The "we" is my husband and he only has so many hours in a day after his full-time job and after he has filled his calling in the bishopric.......so.....that is where the GIVE AWAY comes in. He can't make it to WICKED. He wants to stay home to work on the house so "we" can have it ready for our son's Homecoming talk.

I am giving away his WICKED TICKET.

The seats are NOT together. We are all on our own once we get to the Theater. They are Mezzanine seats and the ticket can be picked up either at the Theatre the day of the show (right before) or at my sister's house the night before. Either way, the winner can let me know through email.

NOW.....how do you win? EASY! Guess the year I was born without offending me! HAHAHAHA!!! So, if you guess that I am too old! I will be VERY offended and you are out of the running! If you guess that I am too young, then I know you are just sucking up!

Remember the show is in Salt Lake City on Thursday April 9th at 2pm. So, if you can't be there, then, don't try to win the (one) ticket. You are guessing for yourself. There are NO transfers. I want this to be fair to all. The Give Away will close on Tues April 7th at 6pm. I will announce the winner by 10pm. (My sister Robin is the verifier of the year of my birth.)

AND IN THE END......

He's home safe and sound. It was a great experience to meet him at the little airport we have here in our little town. The coziness of the airport makes it that much more of an intimate experience for the missionary returning along with his family and friends.

He served honorably and well. He has stories that would make you squirm. His white shirt was not so white. Grey as a matter of fact. But, he was home. Safe and sound.

My boy is home.

He is entering a new phase of his life. I am excited for what the future holds for him. I hopeful in these trying and uncertain times. That's what faith can do for you. That's the brightness that a newly returned missionary brings home with him. I highly recommend it!

TODAY IS "THE" DAY

Yep, it's true, this is the day I have been waiting for!  Some of you know what I am talking about, others have know clue.  For the past two years I have been waiting for this.

My granite countertops have FINALLY been installed in my new kitchen (which is still under construction).

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!

Did you think I was going to mention that something ELSE was supposed to happen today at 9:02pm at the St George airport????

I have NO idea what you are talking about!  hehehehe!!!
